Two sons, Greg and Pat, are computer "whiz-bangs". Eldest son, Marc, Verizon fiber optics tech.
Daughter, Alyssa, graduated from Cal State Fullerton, joined Air Force in July, '12, specializing in Russian linguistics.

Left Michigan in Oct. '61, ended up in San Diego, CA (Navy boot camp), stationed there until Sept., '65.
"Invited" by Navy personnel dept. to go to Vietnam as a hospital corpsman with the Marines. Declined invite, got out early and went to Cal State Long Beach. Degree in Journalism 1968, (signed by Governor Ronald Reagan).
Married first wife in June '68 - still married to her, 45 years later.
School Story:

Chip on shoulder made me a high school senior for a year and a half...flunked one class, got D's in most of the others. Graduated in June instead of January.
Joined Navy, where chip was forcibly removed, with attendant motivation to finish college added. In retrospect, best life-changing move ever!
