I've lost both my brothers over the last few years.  Now again I feel like I lost another.  Doug and his Mom were like my family and my family like his.

As I write this, to my left on this page is a picture of JFK, how ironic.  Doug and I both joined the Kennedy campaign for President.  We drove cars taking other supporters to the JFK rallies when he came to Detroit.

We shared about everything in high school with other friends (Larry Towe & Elmer Nagy) and of course Connie Pytleski.  The memories our endless, from trips to Ft. Lauderdale at spring break back in the day, to all my trips to California where Doug had moved.  Golfing and sharing time together there with my family.  Going to the Rose Bowl.  Barry Jaynes lived in California as well and called me when Michigan was playing Washington at the Bowl.  He had tickets on the 50 yard line and invited me out.  No brainer!  What he didn't tell me who was going with us.  I drove to Barry's where I met his brother.  When we left he asked me to ride in the back on to get on the floor because he invited Doug who didn't know I would be there.  We stopped to pickup Doug and he got into the front seat.  As we we were driving Barry said to Doug wouldn't have been great if Paul was here with us.  Doug said yeah but he's back in Dallas.  That's when I popped and said "Go Blue".  The rest is history!

So many more but they'll always be there and so will my love for another lost brother.
