Connie was a simply unforgettable friend.   Our friendship lasted 70 years and though there were some years we lost touch, each time we would meet again and start talking it seemed we picked up our last conversation as though no time had passed.  In our younger days Connie and I would take the bus to downtown Detroit and walk from Michigan Avenue over to Washington Blvd to hang around outside the Book-Cadillac hotel hoping to see some famous stars of the day.  I remember we met Ricky Nelson, Sal Mineo, the Everly Brothers, Paul Anka and many others and got many autographs.  Never to be fiorgotten was attending the Elvis Presley concert at the old Olympia in 1957.  In recent times we’d talk about politics and other subjects of interest to “mature” women.  I shall miss you greatly dear friend - You fought so hard  to overcome cancer.  Rest now in Peace in the arms of our beloved Saviour.  Love and hugs always...Bonnie

RIP, Connie, I know that you fought hard and well and now deserve your peace. You will be missed.

May you rest in peace where there is no sickness or sorrow.

Dr George Abbott White

The last time we saw one another was probably our 50th. I may have gotten it wrong but I think there was a problem with the car keys. Had they disappeared? Locked inside? Back in the school? How the Key Problem got solved is lost in the mists of time but what remains vivid to me is how utterly unflapable Connie was in the face of what seemed a small disaster. Wholly in character, she was bubbly and pragmatic...forward without complaint. Miss her. (George White)
