I graduated from Wayne State University and joined the US Public Health Service as a pharmacist for about 12 years. I was located in New Orleans for one year, Los Angeles for four years, Boston for four years, Detroit for four years, and Sault Ste Marie for a few years. Along the way I graduated from Central Michigan University with an MA in Public Administration. I served as the Deputy director of the Health Division of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians until my retirement in 2002.
As of 2020, I live in DeLand, Florida which is 20 miles from Daytona Beach.
